We are a world of indoor and outdoor fun that is always free to visit. Our one-of-a-kind historic Playhouse offers three floors of interactive play. Our 6 1/2 acre Playground has multiple zones for climbing, swinging, spinning and exploring as well as our famous Ann Newman Giant Wooden Slide—a Philadelphia tradition.

Smith is closed on Mondays. The Playground closes at dusk in the fall and winter. The Playhouse closes one hour before the Playground in the spring and summer. All hours are weather permitting.

Kidchella Music Festival

Smith Memorial Playground kicks off the summer with our Kidchella Music Festival, presented by Wawa Welcome America. Join us for a FREE, one-day extravaganza featuring four dynamic, family-friendly musical artists. Enjoy art stations, delicious treats, exciting giveaways, community partner tables, delightful pre-show activities, and a stunning main concert—all while celebrating our 125th Anniversary! Under the Sea Play-Stallation - Open NOW!

Step into an underwater wonderland filled with hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. Explore the coral reef, learn about the types of shells, try your hand in fishing and much more! Visitors will love exploring this immersive play experience.
